Miami Yacht Charter — FAQ

Straight answers to what most guests ask before booking a private boat in Miami.

How much does it cost to charter a yacht in Miami?
Miami charters run from about $600 for a 4-hour day-boat trip up to several thousand for a luxury yacht. Most private boats for up to 13 guests fall between $900 and $2,500 for four hours, including a licensed captain and fuel. Tell us your date and group size for an exact quote.
How many people can come on the boat?
Most private charter boats in Miami carry up to 13 guests — the legal limit for an uninspected vessel with a captain. We have boats sized for everything from an intimate group of 2 to a full party of 13, and larger groups can be split across two vessels.
What is included in a charter?
Every charter includes a licensed captain, fuel for the Miami Bay area, and the boat for your full booked time. Most boats also include ice, water, a Bluetooth sound system, and a floating mat. Food, drinks, and crew gratuity are not included, though we offer a full provisioning add-on.
Where do the boats leave from?
We depart from marinas across Miami, including the Miami River, Miami Beach, Venetian, and the downtown Biscayne Bay area. Your exact pickup marina is confirmed with your booking, and some operators offer pickup at a marina of your choice for a small additional fee.
Where can we go — what are the best spots?
Popular Miami routes include the Haulover Sandbar, Nixon Sandbar, and Miami Marine Stadium basin for swimming and rafting up, plus cruising Biscayne Bay, Star Island, and the downtown skyline. Sunset cruises and sandbar days are the two most-requested experiences.
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If the captain, a small-craft advisory, or a storm warning cancels or cuts a trip short, we work with you to reschedule. Sealed provisioning items are held for your new date and your deposit is protected per our weather policy. Light rain alone usually does not stop a charter.
Do I need to tip the captain and crew?
Gratuity is not included in the charter price and is customary for good service — typically 15 to 20 percent of the base rate, paid directly to the crew. For evening charters some operators require a 10 to 15 percent gratuity. We tell you the policy for your specific boat upfront.
How do I book, and how much is the deposit?
Message us your date and party size on WhatsApp and we confirm the right boat and rate. A $500 deposit secures your date, and the balance is due on the day of the charter. Popular dates fill fast, so book early.
Can we bring our own food and drinks, or do you provide them?
Yes — you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks on most boats. If you would rather not shop or plan, we offer a full provisioning service: food, drinks, and premium bar packages matched to your budget, sourced and set up before you board.
What is the best boat for a birthday or bachelorette party?
Guests usually want a flybridge or luxury yacht with deck space, a sound system, and room for 10 to 13. Our mid-size (40 to 59 feet) and luxury (60 feet and up) tiers are the most popular for birthdays and bachelorette parties. Tell us your group size and vibe and we match the perfect boat.
